| Amma Center New Mexico Ashram - June and July Report | |
| Amma will be here in less than a week and we have been busy working in the ornamental gardens in the front of the ashram in anticipation. Many thanks to the team of seven who made a big dent in the weeds. Gardeners are welcome anytime to tend to the gardens front and back. Contact Anaswara at vmay295@gmail.com.
After much cold and snowy weather in May the back garden is finally planted with beans, basil, cucumbers, summer squash, winter squash, tulsi, tomatoes, kale, swiss chard, potatoes, and sweet potatoes. We’ve got two raised beds relined with hardware cloth to deter the gophers thanks to Roman and Sanjay. Gopher Purge is planted around the perimeter. Miracle of Miracles! The cherry tree has thousands of cherries! And the apple trees are abundant with fruit as well, despite the cold weather. Cherries will be ripe in June and we hope to harvest some before the birds eat them all. |
