Amma’s Washington DC ashram sits on 7.5 acres of open space consisting of beautiful green lawn, deciduous trees and Eastern Red Cedars. The ashram property provides a myriad of opportunities for devotees to practice and implement Amma’s teachings to love and serve Mother Nature through organic vegetable gardening and composting, planting fruit tree saplings, building birdhouses and more. |

K-12 students from the Summers Knoll School in Ann Arbor participated in two field trips to the property. The children toured the new earthwork installations, planted sunflowers in the kratergarten and tasted freshly harvested honey from the farm. |

San Ramon’s M.A. Center currently has many Green Friends initiatives, including recycling and reuse programs, water conservation, extensive orchard, garden and reforestation projects, as well as the whole ashram being completely solar. |
GreenFriends Farm began as a challenge to plant a thousand fruit trees on a former cattle ranch east of Oakland, California. Now it is a center for cutting edge agriculture, a destination for enjoying nature, and a vibrant spot for volunteers of all ages and backgrounds. |

M.A Center has many GreenFriends initiatives including rain water recycling, a green house and community gardens, composting and recycling, bee keeping, meadow restoration, tree planting and more.

A recent seedling workshop produced about fifty small cups of radish seeds, chives, peas, spinach, and more that will flourish in Quebec balconies.
